How To Deal With Negativity

When was the last time you dealt with a negative person? The reality is you have to deal with negative people almost on a daily basis.  There are negative people at home.  Then there are negative people in the workplace.  They are everywhere.  The next question is how do you deal with negativity as you will run into it quite often?

It is very sad when you live with a negative person. What’s even sadder is that those of us who work and who spend a lot of time outside of the home end up having to deal with negative coworkers.

My experience is that these people aren’t happy individuals. We have to trust they are going through something that is causing them to have this behavior.  They don’t know any other way to deal with it except to explode all over you.

It’s an explanation, but it is not acceptable behavior. People need to learn that it is not ok to bring their personal business into the work place.  They must learn to deal with the emotions and whatever else is going on with them before dealing not only with their family or coworkers, but many of these individuals are also dealing with the public.

Do you deal with this kind of behavior by reacting in the same negative manner? Or do you just accept the fact that no matter what you do or say it is not going to change that individual or the situation.  So, in most cases it is probably best to just smile and stay quiet.

I myself have dealt with this same kind of situation. I chose the higher ground as I knew I was not going to win the argument.  Having said that, this situation has spurred me on to continue on my path to freedom.  I have worked a lot of years and I am ready to leave the corporate world.

Thankfully I now have a vehicle that is moving me into my new life where I don’t have to deal with negative people all the time.  A life that will give me the freedom to come and go as I please and travel if I so desire.  A life where I can spend more time at home doing the things I love.

This vehicle is blogging and internet marketing.  I am learning new skills and no one is ever too young or too old to learn something new.  If I want to make changes in my life, I need new life skills.  Will it happen overnight? Perhaps not, but the idea is to keep striving for something more.

If you have to deal with negative individuals, do as I did and don’t bring yourself down to their level.  If you need to, make changes in your life to bring about the positive change that you have been searching for.
